I am becoming a little bit frustrated.
Many Oliver businesses are failing, reducing hours, closing at the worst.
But…. they do not or did not advertise.
90 percent of my customers are still holding up well…… too many to mention – too many to write their story.
Take the poll on the right – up Wednesday morning until Saturday morning.
I need your guidance – 2020 and 2021 has seen a huge drop in ODN revenue…… but but – our regular supporters have not “dropped” the ball.
Comment if you like about what is good about ODN and what is NOT to your liking.
Within reason – no comment will be refused.
update – probably the quickest 100 I have ever seen
for the record on the phone with MP , local rural directors and others and have not seen how this has grown
give it time !!!

ODN is my only source of local news and view it twice each day as I know there will always be the latest updates. I honestly cannot see my morning coffee without my “fix”.
I much appreciate Jack giving me an outlet for my meandering brain over the last few years, by printing my column and, when my brain comes out of covid hibernation, I hope he will once again allow me to contribute.
I also enjoy reading varying points of view, including Jack having the occasional rant. Keep going Jack, we need you.

I live in Southern Ontario. For 15 years I visited Oliver twice a year, sometimes 3 times a year. Have family & friends there & have even toyed with the idea of moving to Oliver. I read ODN to keep up with news in the town while I’m away. Can’t wait to be able to visit again.

Well Jack, we rely on ODN for current news and we like to read you when you get poked up.
We stopped subscribing to the Herald after the Editor published a comment from a third party without asking for my comment.
We read the Times/Chronicle but you are the only source of current news available.
At this point in time I cannot identify any specifics regarding improvement of your Web site.

ODN is definitely my first choice for local news. Yes I have definitely contacted local businesses via their ads on ODN. I understand there is a new business opposite the post office but can find very little information on this other than the odd comments on Facebook.

Oliver Daily News
is my only source of local news and would be disappointed to see it close. I for one would be happy to contribute to a voluntary subscription. I would like to see different editorials and comments from the readers. We have to start a dialogue as we are so fractured and many are lost.
Agree on your last – different opinions – shall answer your contribution idea when ALL have….. ???
