Plants are still producing – I picked two cucumbers yesterday, three zucchini and just over a pound of strawberries. Wednesday night will probably bring everything to an abrupt end!

Looking at my journal over the last 20 years, it has started to snow at an altitude of ~1000m near or on the 21st of October, on average. That does not mean it stays, it only means that the temperature can dip below freezing and that precipitations can occur. We usually install our outdoor Xmas lights the first week of November (lighting them only in December), so we do not have to do it in freezing temperature and a foot of snow. 4 seasons is wonderful.
