John, I am another daughter of Lawrence’s with several cacti in my window! I think of dad every time I look at them! I remember his little plant nursery in the basement where he started so many unusual plants from seed. He had a green thumb!

Beautiful…and so many memories!! I have 27 of Dad’s offspring myself and have given away more than I can count. I have just moved them all outdoors in Metchosin (near Victoria) and they are just beginning to bloom…nothing like your incredible show!!!

Lots of beautiful memories and unbelievable beauty from end of April to the end of September. Today we have about 100 blooms.

It all originated in your ( parents ) living room about 60 years ago. Your Dad gave me 2 small cactus plants. Hardly a day goes by that I or Anne don’t talk about your Mom and Dad.
