Tony Iannella, former deputy elected as Fire Department Chief following retirement of chief Patrick Lantz.
Patrick Lantz is the new Fire Chief in Willowbrook
A 12-year veteran of the department, Lantz served previously as deputy chief in Willowbrook, and replaces Brad Fossett, who retired after five years in the top job.
Willowbrook Volunteer Fire Department’s main fire engine (truck/apparatus).
It is with great pride that the WVFD announces the purchase of a newer first out fire engine. We were able to purchase this gently used truck from Mission FD and have already put the new truck into service.
This truck will serve our community for at least 10 more years. This left us with the task of selling our previous primary engine.
Before the engine was sold on the open market, we discovered that Anarchist Mountain FD (AMFD) was having issues with their primary engine so we were able to sell the truck to that department at a fair price and keep this excellent truck within the Regional District (RDOS) as well as to help one of our neighbouring departments.

At this time, the Oliver Ambassador Program would normally be presenting the 2020 candidates just weeks before our pageant. This is a different year, however. We would like to share an informal introduction of this year’s group and their sponsors. The candidates have already presented their Introductory/Sponsor Speeches through a private Zoom event. These speeches will soon be linked to our Facebook page, so we invite you to visit and enjoy. We are very grateful for all of our local sponsors who continue to support youth through this program each year! We have the pleasure of having a joint sponsorship this year; Royal Canadian Legion Br. #97 and Little Buddies Marketing, Ltd. are sharing a sponsorship role.
