…..keep dropping on the your head
The Steele report
This is considered by many to be the first long weekend of the summer even though summer is a month away. The word is don’t travel, don’t have gatherings, keep your distance the list goes on. Are we paying attention? To some degree yes but it is the fun long weekend that claims too many lives.
The sad truth is we all in one way or another ignore all or part of safety rules. I have always said most accidents are not in fact accidents. They are consequences from momentary lapses of judgment. Think about it. A lot of those who drown didn’t wear a life jacket. Auto crashes, no seat belt use, or at times one small drink for the road. There are those who buy a new toy like an ATV and relieve their mind of safety first or let their kids use it as a toy. There are a thousand explanations and in most cases not one admission of a momentary lack of judgment. These are all hazards we can see and relate to, I know, there are those who say the Covid thing is over. Most senior medical experts are saying what we can’t see is the second wave. Two ingredients make that possible, lack of individual judgment and a virus mutation.
Even worse the world economy is staggering, it cannot take anymore strain. The staggering cost (the current handouts) are not free and taxpayers will pay this off over the next thirty to forty years.
So this weekend stay safe, play safe, and be aware of what you can’t see. Let us all think about personal judgment.
