To be clear is to have peace and certainty, but a calm kind of certainty. When something becomes clear to me that ‘oh yes, I get this now’ feeling shows up. Some will say that they are clear about their life. OK. What would that mean, actually? Life is a big topic to be clear about, at least to be clear about all of it feels pretty darn big to me. Maybe being clear about even one part is big. What say you?
To clear something is to remove the clutter, as in the garage. You don’t need to remove it all but set it in order, make open spaces, bring back the feeling of order and control. Clearing the mind is sort of like that too. I need to silence the thoughts that are in the way of clarity, that state of just completely knowing. Neat thing too is that when I am mentally clear I feel happy and light. Can clutter thoughts be heavy?
To clear the way has many meanings, well many descriptions. It can mean to remove the physical obstacles, like the kids toys. It can mean changing my beliefs. Harder to do. It can mean convincing the system to change some law or rule. And it can mean removing hecklers and nay sayers of every kind. Clearing the way is for pioneers, explorers and leaders of the highest order. It demands action. Are you up to it?
Sometimes clearing is a supposedly simple letting go. I say supposedly simple because we hear it all the time, about how hard it is to let things go. We are not talking about letting go of the door handle, but of thoughts, beliefs, scary things and ideas that do not serve us. Why is it hard to clear those? Some say that our ego needs such things to hang on to in order to keep us under its control. Sheesh. Did you know this?
The image of a clearing is, for me, a meadow in the woods, a place of quiet and beauty and gentleness. Haaahhhhhhhh, big exhale. Yeah, that kind of place. The experience of clarity is like that fresh breath on a frosty day, exhilarating and full of certainty, clear, flawless, nothing better. We can have two sides of clear, a clear question and a clear answer. Some avoid one or the other or both. You?
