Probably a good way of scaring the birds too
In years past when the rains came the farmers could hope for wind or try blasting their trees with the wind from their sprayers in hopes of drying the fruit as the water will sit near the stem and as soon as the sun comes split the cherry. The heli’s fly low and the wind created from the blades will dry the fruit from the top of the tree(where the sun will get the fruit first) down. I have been told by the growers that use this method that it is to date the best way to attempt to save thier crops. Hope this helps
Probably over fruit trees to dry them out & prevent rott & bugs
Can you please post why they are flying so low. I get tired of seeing pictures of things and nothing to tell where it is or at least a discription of what it is doing. Please and Thank You.
