I also miss Windy,he was a friend to all. Many nights around our family campfire our Dad would share a Windy story or two. Growing up in Oliver Windy was a fixture, we all knew him, trusted him, shared a wave,a smile a word whenever we met, missed by all.
I too did a little bit of hunting and tracking with this great and very friendly man, we had the same Russian made 22′s. Most missed are the nights I would drive Windy home, a six pack of Old Style, one on the drive home, one in the driveway and two for himself to take into the house after we had had some great conversations. Truely missed.
Definately a well know member of the South Okanagan.
I had the privelage of Windy living at my home for 8 yrs. No finner of a hunter, trapper, pool shark have I ever met. He was a friend to everyone.
