Osoyoos – Penticton South Okanagan Similkameen Regional RCMP Detachment’s Targeted Enforcement Unit (TEU) apprehended a well-known South Okanagan Prolific Offender Wednesday night in Osoyoos.
On September 12th, 2018, the Regional Targeted Enforcement Unit (TEU) apprehended a well-known South Okanagan Prolific Offender Wednesday night in Osoyoos. 42 year old Jeffrey PELLY is back behind bars after police attended a property in Osoyoos. At the time of his arrest, PELLY was wanted on two separate warrants, one of which alleges PELLY took off from Police back on August 21 in a stolen pickup truck.
The public may recall PELLY making headlines 2 years ago after Police observed him re-offending only 12 minutes after he left the Penticton bail office from court.
“Great coordinated effort and intelligence led to this arrest. Habitual offenders like PELLY create a lot of crime and use a lot of resources. Very good to have him back in jail” said Constable Liam MCCREADY of the TEU.
PELLY appeared in court today and has been remanded into custody pending his next appearance September 26.
