Learning the rules of the road…er the lake

Plane that landed on Vaseux Lake Monday June 18th. Photos were taken by Eniel Pacheco fromĀ  home north of Oliver. Motorized vessels or planes not allowed.

Jaime Pacheco says: Here is something you don’t see everyday. A plane landed on Vaseux lake yesterday morning, floated around the southwest bay and then, took off again. Since this is a bird sanctuary, I am sure this is not supposed to happen.

Rusty paws – sometimes!!! – If the plane had a problem it would land. If it didn’t have a problem it would take off. It did….takeoff.

Dr. Efford used to land his plane on lake for many years. He sold the property on the lake and sold his plane around the same time. The same rules were in place at that time ??? What if this plane was having mechanical problems ?
