Both of our businesses have benefited from the track and the prison it is obvious that many new people will be a boost to business

We have been many times and it’s a fun way to spend and hour or two… met some great people also watching, they come from all over the valley.

South on Black Sage off McKinney until Le Vieux Pin winery. Left on Nk’Mip Road (Reserve land). The Area 27 sign is there, but small. Follow the tight road up the hill and you will be at the track. The public viewing area, on the right, is a great spot to watch the racers/cars. There is normally a security guard to assist. Enjoy.

Black Sage road south, turn left on Nk’nip road and keep left at top of hill. Before you get to the gate, turn right to viewing area. Bring a chair!

Would love to. How do you get there?
Publisher: My advice is to call the Band Office – it is private property leased from them. Those that proceed to there seem to be welcome. BUT

I keep hearing that it’s good for the local economy, can anyone actually say who has benefitted from the race track so far. All I hear is them driving around the track, not really racing I’m told because the track isn’t wide enough to race each other safely. I don’t know if loosing the pleasure of being in my yard or in my house at times is a benefit. I don’t even enjoy pulling weeds and them darn young maple trees anymore (never did) due to the noise coming from the track. My neighbor doesn’t seem to mind it too much, but then he used to race cars. I’m wondering if the loss of use or pleasure of ones yard outweighs any possible good for the local economy. Since I hear many complain about the noise from the track, and we all know that we don’t matter to the politicians. I guess that only the next election will tell us if they were right or wrong in all the things they have pushed on us for the good of the local economy. I for one think the true quality of life has gone downhill the past number of years. People that come here from the big cities and want all that they had there, here. One might think that if they wanted all that, why come to a nice quiet, sleepy little town. Was it the lower cost of housing, low taxes, the relaxed way of life, the quiet we once enjoyed, that’s all going by the wayside and fast.

Sadly, the politicians we elect had no say in building the track. Like the prison and the proposed grow op, if the OIB wants it they will build it and the rest of us had best get used to it.
Publisher: Local politicians including myself worked actively to get the OCC in the regional district. The “Track” was welcomed by the locals but there was concern about the noise and the developer said – not a problem – we have mufflers. Unfortunately, they seem not to be able to find those mufflers.

i agree with Neil Seidler …i live on Black Sage rd ,,just in front of the road to the racetrack
for 12 years .it was the best home that i ve found . i don t feel like taking care of my garden anymore , i just go inside ,cause i don t want to hear the noise …and i work on Ryegrass rd and Fairview corner Sumac ..and i still hear the Rcacars ..they re intruders ,and they dont care ,the town should worry more about their peoples.
now that the track is here ..and the
noisy cars just driving on black sage …speeding ..and the : you re not going to hear the noise . Even Bill Drossos (manager of Area27 ) told me he would make sound tests from my house , and never did
Well , I can hear it from inside my house , while watching TV
I know i might be a NAYsayer …but if you say Yes all the time , there s a good chance you get s
