Hose do these stats relate to the RCMP’s report to the RDOS earlier this week? ie that the prison will generate 500 new files a year – mainly assaults and administrative matters like DNA tests within the prison. Will offended within the prison show up in these tables over time?

When looking at the above numbers, I would like to suggest that using percentages may not be the most appropriate use of statistical information in this case. For example, claiming a 100 percent increase when a year to year difference goes from 1 to 2 occurrences involves the generation of one file, not one hundred files. Knowing what the actual man hour differences are (positive or negative overall) in generating the case files may create a better picture of what the RCMP may need to support their work in this area.
