This aircraft at Oliver Airport

Oliver International (CAU3) is a registered aerodrome located adjacent to Oliver, Canada.
The aerodrome is the home of Okanagan-Kooteney Air Cadet Gliding Program, Atom Helicopters, Transwest Helicopters, Oliver/Osoyoos Search and Rescue (OOSAR) and Oliver Fire Department (OFD). It has many light plane hangars and new construction under way.

Location: exit road at Tinhorn Creek ( steep hill ) – at bottom of that narrow road – a home is located.
Time: Dispatch 10:31 pm Saturday
Police, EMS and Oliver Fire Department. First report indicate a person on a bike was trapped under a vehicle. By the time a rescue team arrived it had been determined that the injured male could be removed fairly easily and transported to hospital. One witness said the cyclist was leaving the venue, going down a steep hill but did not make a sharp turn at the bottom and ended up under the car parked at a residence.

KELOWNA – A record-tying 37 finalists have been announced for the 10th Annual Thompson Okanagan Kootenay Commercial Building Awards set for Thursday, September 20 at the >Coast Capri Hotel in Kelowna. 23 of the finalists are NOT from the city of Kelowna.
These awards celebrate the best in commercial and industrial buildings completed prior to July 31 in the Thompson (Kamloops and Salmon Arm), Okanagan (Vernon to Osoyoos) and Kootenay (Nelson to Cranbrook and Golden) regions.
Last year’s Judges’ Choice Best Overall winner was the Kelowna Police Services Building
A select group of independent judges will pore over the submissions to determine winners in each category.

Food drive volunteers will be delivering food donation bags the week of September 10th, 2018 to many Oliver homes for the 8th Annual BC Thanksgiving Food Drive. The donations in support of the Oliver Food Bank will be picked up on Saturday, September 15th. Those who do not receive a bag can drop off non-perishable food donations before September 15th at the Best of India Restaurant (6390 Main St) or the Oliver/Osoyoos Sikh Temple. We will also collect bags at the Oliver Food Bank (6047 Station St.) between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm on collection day: September 15th, 2018.
